Improv Show in Las Vegas

Author: nick21 - Categories: Las Vegas Entertainment, Las Vegas Shows

Harrah’s Improv Las Vegas is a bit of a misleading title.  For real Las Vegas improv comedy, you’ll have to visit the Second City troupe at the Flamingo.  This is Las Vegas improv in name only.

Perhaps you’ve flipped through cable, late at night, only to come to rest on the A&E – breakthrough comedians like Richard Lewis or Kevin Nealon performing in front of a stark brick wall, carefully working through their set list as the crowd roars with laughter.  That’s what Harrah’s Improv Las Vegas is based on, the comedians lucky enough to make it to the stage no longer relegated to cable television, but able to reach a wide audience of Vegas tourists hungry for laughter.  So there’s not the possibility for disappointment that true Las Vegas improv comedy might breed – this Improv is the finest material these comedians have, and at severely discounted rates.

The price of comedy in Las Vegas, whether it’s Rita Rudner, Carrot Top or someone at the fringes like Anthony Cools, can sometimes be steep – so it’s a nice break to see tickets for Harrah’s Improv Las Vegas to come at a reasonable price for a show that lasts around an hour or so.

Though the performers at the Improv at Harrah’s shift constantly, you’ll likely recognize at least one or two of them.  Each week brings a new team of three comedians in Harrah’s theater, each one at the top of their game and ready to keep you in stitches.   As you might expect from something in Vegas shows, there’s an age limit for the Improv, as the comedians are left to their own devices and allowed to discuss whatever subjects they wish.  Thus, if you are under the age of 18, you’d better find something else to do.

The Improv Las Vegas opens its doors to two shows daily (except Mondays) at 8:30 and 10:30 pm.

The Las Vegas Strip is one of the best places to go for entertainment on the west coast of the United States. Sporting a wide variety of Las Vegas hotels and casinos, nightclubs, restaurants and other attractions, you will be able to find a little bit of something for everyone.

This site is dedicated to giving you all of the information necessary for you to plan your trip to Las Vegas without having to wonder what is available for you when in Vegas.

When you visit Las Vegas, there are a lot of attractions to see, so you’ll want to plan your time accordingly. First, you’ll want to find a hotel in Las Vegas that meets your travel needs and near all the attractions you plan to visit. A hotel on the strip puts you right in the action 24 hours a day but there are also beautiful hotels off the strip.

Hotels in Vegas

There are 113 hotels in Las Vegas. On the Las Vegas Strip itself, there are approximately 38 large hotels for you to choose from. Most of these include at least 1,000 rooms. A few of the popular hotels on the Strip include the Wynn Las Vegas, the Venetian, the Bellagio, the Hard Rock, the Sahara, Paris Las Vegas, Caesars Palace and Mandalay Bay. Off the Strip, you will find luxurious hotels like Green Valley Ranch and the Fairfield Grand Desert Resort.

In many of the vegas hotels, you will find casinos to enjoy exciting evenings in. Some of the most popular casinos include the one at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, the Hard Rock Casino and the casino at the Venetian.

Las Vegas Nightlife

When looking for social based entertainment in Las Vegas, the nightclubs are the first place you should look. Ranging from wild parties at the Coyote Ugly in the New York New York to sophisticated evenings of wine and champagne at the Risque, there is a club to suit everyones desires and tastes.

If you intend on being in Las Vegas over the holidays, such as around New Years, you will want to arrange in advance for reservations, as these clubs become the soul of the party in Vegas. Most hotels in Las Vegas have at least one club within them.

Las Vegas Restaurants

Perhaps one of the most enjoyable aspects of Vegas is experiencing the various restaurants located on and off of the Strip. Every hotel tends to have a variety of different restaurants. The Venetian, as an example, has world class restaurants like the Delmonico Steakhouse and the Royal Star. The Bellagio sports the Le Cirque and Michael Mina. The Mandalay Bay has the House of Blues and the Chocolate Swan. There are also many buffets and good deals to be found, which makes the strip a surprisingly affordable place to eat if you take the time to have a look.

Las Vegas Attractions

There are many things to do in Las Vegas to attract visitors. Among them include seeing the world’s largest gold nugget at the Golden Nugget, the Cirque du Soleil at the Bellagio, the MGM Grand and at Treasure Island, and Bette Midler at the Caesars Palace. There are many other Las Vegas shows and events that don’t require Las Vegas tickets, such as the Fremont show every night, the Volcano eruptions at the Mirage, and the Bellagio fountains that are free of charge for any who want to see it. With this much to see and do, there is never a dull moment when staying at Hotels in Las Vegas.

Tony Bennett Concert September 19th and 20th

Author: nick21 - Categories: Las Vegas Entertainment

It’s possible Tony Bennett is more popular today than he was when his musical career began 50 years ago.

In 1950, Pearl Bailey and Bob Hope discovered Bennett, and based on the strength of his demo, “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” he was signed to an exclusive recording contract with Columbia. His song “Because of You,” which became the biggest hit of 1951, ruled the charts for 31 weeks. Next came “Cold, Cold Heart,” which proved equally successful. By 1964, Bennett had 24 big hits to his credit.

Don’t miss Tony Perform September 19th and 20th at the Hilton Theater at 8:00 P.M.

Las Vegas Ticket Site Launches Purchase by Phone Program

Author: nick21 - Categories: Las Vegas, Las Vegas Entertainment

A Web site that offers Las Vegas entertainment tickets and information is launching a program to let people buy last-minute show tickets through their cell phones.

VEGAS.com calls it “mobile concierge.”

It says it allows people who are already in Las Vegas buy tickets to shows and tours that day or the next day.

The program also features information on Las Vegas hotels.

It’s accessed by texting “777″ to shortcode “VEGAS,” or by visiting mobile.vegas.com on handheld devices.

Customers are connected to a live ticketing agent to complete a purchase.

They can then pick up tickets at the box office or use their phones as the ticket, displaying a bar code.
